The City of Alexandria is soliciting Indications of Interest from qualified banks to assess the feasibility to refund its Series 1998 Taxable Refunding Certificates of Indebtedness.
The City of Alexandria, LA (“the City”) is proposing to currently refund its Series 1998 Taxable Refunding Certificates of Indebtedness (“Certificates”). As such, the City is soliciting Indications of Interest from qualified banks to assess the feasibility of refunding these Certificates on a direct purchase basis. For this reason, attached you will find (1) a Summary of the proposed refunding transaction including the proposed amortization schedule and pertinent transaction details and (2) the Official Statement cover page and amortization schedule of the existing 1998 issue. The City has engaged Stephens Inc. as Structuring Agent for the proposed refunding and they will be assisting the City with structural financing questions in that regard. If (Enter Bank) is interested in purchasing the Certificates on a direct purchase basis the City asks that it receive an indicative term interest rate from the bank no later than the close of business on Wednesday, July 11th and that such information be sent to:
