  a native of Laurel\, MS earned her B.M. degree at William Carey Univers
 ity in vocal performance\, a Master of Music degree from the State Unive
 rsity of New York- Binghamton (Binghamton University)\, and a Doctor of 
 Musical Arts degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. She has
  performed with the Southern Opera and Music Theater as the title role C
 armen and Octavian from Der Rosenkavalier in opera scenes and Dame Dolef
 ul in the English Comic Opera\, Too Many Sopranos. She has been featured
  as a jazz vocalist for the Partners for the Arts Gala 2019-2020 and the
  Mississippi Opera Fundraising Gala 2021. Katrina has been a featured ar
 tist for the Natchez Festival of Music and Festival South. She also rece
 ntly appeared in WCU’s production of Suor Angelica as the Principessa\
 , she was also a featured vocalist in the Miss Hospitality Mississippi P
 ageant 2022 and as their entertainment artist in the summer of 2023. Kat
 rina is an Assistant Professor of Music at William Carey University wher
 e she teaches voice-related studies and directs Carpenter’s Wood and M
