 \, 2024\, at 7:30 P.M.\, the Red River Chorale will present its third co
 ncert of the season\, “A Choral Collage\,” at St. James Episcopal Ch
 urch in Alexandria. \n\n     The Chorale will present a montage of sixte
 en short classic selections\, each in its original language. They span n
 early 500 years\, beginning in the 1500’s with a familiar work by Thom
 as Tallis\, “If Ye Love Me\,” and ending with a charming 21st-centur
 y composition by Eric Whitacre\, “This Marriage.” Representing the c
 enturies between and showcasing the classic musical styles of this broad
  swath of musical history are short pieces by the following composers: G
 iovanni Palestrina\, Carlo Gesualdo\, Henry Purcell\, Johann Sebastian B
 ach\, Franz Schubert\, Felix Mendelssohn\, Giuseppe Verdi\, Anton Bruckn
 er\, Joseph Rhineberger\, Sergei Rachmaninov\, Carl Orff\,  Randall Thom
 pson\, and Moses Hogan. \n\n     The result is a richly woven tapestry\,
  indeed a musical collage of the finest quality…a work of art.  Immers
