PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 22, 2009.

The Council of the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, met in special meeting session at its regular meeting place, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 1:30 P.M.

There were present the Honorable Roosevelt L. Johnson, Ed Larvadain, Jonathan Goins, Harry Silver, Everett C. Hobbs and Myron K. Lawson. Absent was Chuck Fowler. Also present were City Attorney Chuck Johnson, Assistant City Attorney Trey Gist and City Clerk Nancy L. Thiels.

The Council of the City of Alexandria, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said City by the Honorable Myron K. Lawson, who stated that the Council was ready for the transaction of business.

EXECUTIVE SESSION TO BE HELD PURSUANT TO R.S. 42:6.1 (A)(2) ON THE FOLLOWING ITEM:

It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Silver to go into Executive Session to hear from the City Attorney regarding strategy or negotiations concerning the “City of Alexandria v. CLECO Corporation, et al.,” Civil Action #05-cv-1121-A, United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana, Alexandria Division. A roll call vote was called for and resulted as follows:

YEAS: Johnson, Larvadain, Goins, Silver, Hobbs, Lawson.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Fowler.

BACK IN SESSION

A motion was made by Mr. Goins and seconded by Mr. Silver to call this meeting back into session. A roll call vote was called for and resulted as follows:

PRESENT: Goins, Silver, Hobbs, Lawson, Johnson, Fowler, Larvadain.
ABSENT: None.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
