Mission Statement
To provide for the overall planning and coordination of the City’s land development, housing, urban design, and community development activities.
Function Description
Daily interaction with the public involving zoning and land use, commercial developments, floodplain designations, and demographic data. The receiving and processing of zone change applications, variance applications, special exceptions applications, appeals applications, and zoning compliance. Maintenance of zoning maps and records, and conducting investigations involving the handling of zoning violations. Other duties include staff functions such as ordinance revisions, community development, planning, database preparation, grant applications, review of commercial building plans, floodplain management, and Census Bureau Reports.

issued from 8:00 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 3:00 pm daily
